Willow Foltz is an 8 months old Chihuahua who was examined and diagnosed with brain (cerebellar) disease. The cause of this disease has not been identified, either from lack of brain development or secondary to hydrocephalus (increased fluid and pressure in the brain). This brain disease has resulted in incoordination an weakness on Willow’s hind limbs. We recommend Willow to be evaluated by a neurologist and to have a MRI performed. It is impossible to predict if this is a progressive condition without further diagnostic test.

In the meantime, we hope that with the support of a wheelchair her quality of life will improve.

Poor Willow has a neuro disorder. Vet believes her brain is not sending signals to the rest of her body.. Poor think totally did a back somersault today trying to take a poop. It cost 1800 just to see a neurologist and imagine. Then god knows what it will cost after that. - Willow’s Mom
